Staff

Our staff members are responsible for the foundation’s operations.

  • Don Barclay

    Director of Finance and Operations

    Prior to joining the William H. Donner Foundation in September 2023, Don Barclay was the Chief Financial Officer for two not-for-profits, RestoringVision and the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Prior to these engagements, he was the CFO for Keswick Management Inc, a New York-based family office with extensive financial investments and three private family foundations. He holds a BA in accounting from Hofstra University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

  • Ivi Chatzikyriakou

    Program Assistant

    Ivi Chatzikyriakou joined the William H. Donner Foundation in December 2023. Prior to her role at the foundation, Ivi worked at several not-for-profit organizations with mandates that include delivering better education; supporting women's rights; and improving the health of American Indians and Alaska Natives living in urban areas.
    Ivi holds a BSc in Advertising and Marketing Communications from FIT, SUNY and a Master's in Governance and Human Rights from Leuphana University.

    Deirdre Feeney

    Manager of Operations

    Deirdre Feeney has worked for the William H. Donner Foundation since May 2002. Currently, she is the Manager of Operations. Prior to joining the foundation, she worked in management at several Fortune 500 companies, specializing in client services. In her off hours, Deirdre enjoys hiking and basically any outdoor activities.

    Helen McLean

    Executive Director

    Helen McLean is the executive director of the William H. Donner Foundation. She also holds that role at its sister organization, the Donner Canadian Foundation. She previously held senior positions at the Toronto Community Foundation, Ketchum Canada, and Arts and Communications Counselors.

    A former director of Philanthropic Foundations Canada, she currently serves on its finance committee. She recently completed her term as a director of the Mabin School. Helen has an MBA from York University’s Schulich School and a BAH from Queen’s University.

  • Karine Parvin

    Program Manager  

    Karine Parvin is the program manager of the William H. Donner Foundation. She also holds that role at its sister organization, the Donner Canadian Foundation. She previously held program and partnership coordination roles in the Canadian charitable sector and the French public sector, including a two-year program manager position in the Republic of the Congo. She studied at Wilfrid Laurier University as an exchange student and earned a Master's degree in International Relations from Sciences Po Lille.
